Content Creation is Changing Forever
Welcome to the Content REcap
Content Creation is Changing FOREVER. Long-Form is in. Short-Form is Out. Community Building is Shining. Track-Stopping Attention is Fading.
Content Creation services are all over the internet and YouTube. Creatives are constantly pitching what they can do for businesses.
They are right…
Most business owners are leaving money on the table. Whether it be from not creating content at all, not creating anything entertaining or educational, or even simply not leveraging what they create.
So what? You have 150k Instagram followers. You’re videos are doing 20,000 views on average…
What’s your engagement?
125 Likes? 10 comments?
If that sounds like you. The agency you are with is probably pulling a fast one on you.
If you are pouring money into your content creation and your clients aren’t seeing it, then you’re paying for vanity. Our goal is to make content that helps you when people discover your business. We are showing off your skills, abilities, and professionalism because that is what your clients truly care about. Social Proof, not how popular you are on Instagram.
Sorry. (not sorry)
RECap Cultr Studio’s Goal is to Make the Content that Turns Your Customers and Clients into a Community that only grows and flourishes.
Long-Form Is Where’s It’s At Now.
For the past four years content creation has had one dominant niche…
Short-Form. 8-45 seconds in length.
Quick cuts and snappy edits reign as the most important way to transition video clips to retain attention. This style was made most popular by YouTuber, Mr. Beast. It’s been adapted by all, modified by few, and mastered by fewer.
That’s changing now and will be changed forever.
In late 2023, and now in 2024, short-form content has begun to evolve. There is no doubt that short videos are still the best way to engage a wider audience and retain attention. Not like they have the past four years though.
Those snappy edits and quick cuts are phasing out and the mantra of “transition every 4-5 seconds” is fading to black. Too many years of one thing gets stale.
That’s where we are at right now. At a crossroads, creators are starting a new approach that slows down short-form transitions and cuts. They are beginning to let the shot breathe a lot more.
Retention is still maintained on the video because instead of someone needing to watch the same Reel, Short, or TikTok multiple times to catch everything after five watches, they can catch it the first time and pay attention to the message a few times over.
Just go to your favorite creators on any platform and look at their most recent videos, odds are the videos are doing the aforementioned “new way” to produce content.
Just like videos under one minute in length, long-form videos are also beginning to pop up with slower transitions, less high-speed editing, and more reserved and relaxed imagery on the screen.
Long-form creators are even beginning to simply set up a camera and talk to it as if they are talking to a friend. The best example of this is Sam Sulek. {More on him in the feature section below.}
Long-Form builds a connection with your audience and your community. And that’s where the value is at.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a Game Changer
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3, especially when considering the Creator Combo, stands out as a versatile tool for content creators, vloggers, and anyone interested in high-quality video capture with minimal setup. Here's a comprehensive overview based on the information available up to September 2024:
Design and Build: The Osmo Pocket 3 features a design evolution from its predecessors, now sporting a larger 2-inch rotatable touchscreen, which significantly enhances usability by allowing for easier framing and viewing, regardless of the camera's orientation.
Sensor and Video Quality: Equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, the Osmo Pocket 3 offers substantial improvements in low-light performance and dynamic range compared to its predecessor, the Pocket 2. It can shoot 4K video at up to 120fps, which is impressive for a device of its size, providing smooth slow-motion footage. The inclusion of D-Log M recording suggests it's aimed at users who might want to color grade their footage extensively.
Stabilization and Features: The built-in 3-axis gimbal stabilization ensures smooth footage, which is particularly beneficial for vloggers and filmmakers on the move. Features like face/object tracking, fast focusing, and the new portrait mode (up to 3K/60fps in 9:16) cater directly to social media content creators, aligning with current trends toward vertical video content.
Audio: The Creator Combo includes the DJI Mic 2, enhancing audio capture, which is often a weak point in compact cameras.
Accessories and Extras: The Creator Combo not only includes the camera but also a battery handle for extended shooting times, a mini tripod, a protective case, and other accessories like a wide-angle lens attachment, making it a comprehensive kit for creators on the go.
User Experience: Users have praised its ease of use, the quality of video output, and the seamless integration with the DJI Mimo app for editing and control. AND, there is a companion app for your phone/tablet to download everything and edit right on that device!
Pricing and Value: Priced at $519 for the basic kit and $669 for the Creator Combo, it's not an entry-level purchase but offers substantial value for those who need professional-quality video without the bulk of traditional setups. The price reflects its advanced features, larger sensor, and the quality of its build.
In summary, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, particularly in its Creator Combo form, is tailored for those who prioritize video quality, ease of use, and the ability to create content that stands out on social platforms. Its advancements over the Pocket 2 justify the price for many, especially in scenarios where high-quality, stabilized video is needed without the hassle of larger equipment.
